I'm Emma. :) 

Through some crazy circumstances and God movin somethin awful in my heart, I found myself thinking and praying about Guatemala (when I never had before) and while I was signed up to do the semester long trip to Thailand. I am SO excited to be a part of this team, and know that the change in plans are for the better!

About me?

Well.. I'm a first semester Junior (but claim the sophomore class as my own) at Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee. I'm on the Intercultural Studies/Urban Studies/Bible major. I've taken two semesters of Chinese, and may switch on over to Spanish. I work in the Graphics Department on campus and travel with our Tour Choir. I'm also Little Red RidingHood in our spring musical "Into the Woods"!

Some facts:

My favorite color is brown.

I like grammar and words a lot. 

I like to paint.

I alphabetize my movie collection, but sort my books by genre.

I like taking pictures.

I'm a morning person. 

I like trees more than flowers.

I could go for a few days straight without speaking and be cool with it... 

But, I do tend to talk a lot. 

I drink my coffee black.

Mac n cheese for the win. 

I absolutely adore my friends. 

Two summers ago I went to Cambodia, and my life was radically changed. Ever since, I've looked at the world and the people in it differently. 

I laugh. All. The. Time.

Lastly? Although I am an introvert, I love people more than words can describe. I want to help people. I thought I knew how, but things change and the only thing that remains is me knowing I’m meant to help people.
