Though it actually is starting to warm up here (finally)!  My name is Amalie, I'm 21 years old, and I'm from Ontario, Canada.  I am currently living in Brantford with a friend I've known for basicallly my whole life.  I'm in my 3rd year of University and going through for Primary Education.  I absolutely LOVE kids, and pretty much want to be around them the rest of my life. 

I'm also working at M&M Meat Shops (which is basically a grocery store, but only for frozen foods, and a lot smaller).  Between work and school I've been keeping quite busy the past few years.

Some things I like include:  reading, Disney movies, Veggie Tales, music (I play some piano), randomly doing crazy things, and my kitties (we have 3 of them in our 2 bedroom apartment, and sometimes they're crazier than we are), coffee, purple, chocolate . . . . .

I also like to make up words a lot, so if I say a word you don't understand, I probably just invented it about 5 seconds ago.

Things I don't like:  seafood is GROSS!, also probably doesn't help that I'm deathly terrified of fish, um . . . can't think of anything else at the moment

This is the first missions trip I've ever been on, though I did work for a church over the summer a few years ago.  I was in charge on Children's Ministry. I am so incredibly super excited about going on this trip (just ask anyone that knows me)!  I really feel God calling me to go to Guatemala, and am ready for this opportunity He has given me.  I can hardly wait to see how the Lord will use our team on this trip to minister to those in need.
