This has really been on my heart lately so I though I would share it with everyone :)

At what point in our lives are we truly satisfied? John Piper writes “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him” Let those words sink into the very depths of your heart. The almighty God is most glorified through us when HE is our complete satisfaction.  The world and what it has to offer looks enticing, and it may even feel good at some points but does it really satisfy us? If your cars, house, food and money were taken from you would you be satisfied with the world? If your family and friends were taken from you would you still be satisfied with the world? These relationships and things in our lives are not guaranteed to stay in our life. What then will satisfy us?

Our only true satisfaction comes from the one who created us with the desire to be satisfied. God made our hearts to be satisfied by him alone. “With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation” Psalm 91:16. So, why then do we still let the world compete for our satisfaction with God? What we should do is let God satisfy the heart that he created to. How could we not let the God who knows us better than anyone else ever could satisfy us the way we were meant to be satisfied. A God that  “created our inmost being, that knit us together in our mother’s womb, and  that has thoughts toward us that outnumber the grains of sand” Psalm 139. Our mind can’t even comprehend a love that deep, why would we not trust God that loves us that much to satisfy us in ways the world couldn’t even begin to be able to offer us.

Let this verse be the cry of your heart. “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” Psalm 90:14 Let God‘s love envelop you, and let him satisfy your heart the way he longs to.
