What up Guatemala team,
I hope you're all doing well and getting everything together for this summer. I'll be one of the leaders of the Panajachel Team, and I just wanted to say a quick "hey," tell you a little about myself, and make myself available for any questions or whatever you need.
I was on the August 2009 World Race squad (J Squad), and since returning home in last June, I've been interning at a church, mostly working with the youth group. I'm going to be starting up seminary this fall, and I was planning on working and saving up money this summer, but God gave me this unique opportunity to lead a Real Life team and pour into each one of your lives.ย
Let's see ... I love sports (big Philly fan) and music (everything from metal to worship ... ehhh, but no country). I'm going to be bringing my guitar along, and if anyone else plays any kind of instrument (guitar, violin, djembe, piccolo, whatever) please feel free to bring it along.
God has really put a passion for discipleship, missions, and teaching on my heart in the past two years. I'm not sure yet what my emphasis will be at seminary, but I feel God leading me down one of those paths right now, and I have a hunger to learn more.ย
I'm really excited for this summer, and I can't believe how soon it's coming. Your leaders are already praying for each one of you, and we can't wait to meet you all down in Georgia. Take care, and I'll see you soon,
Don Brensinger
